US Open Cup First Round: Pro-Am Round
I love this tournament. So much. Here’s a list of resources for you to get caught up before the next round (March 18-20).
As per usual, Alex Ashton does a bang up job providing a compelling snapshot of the first round of the 110th US Open Cup. The opening round of 64 teams looks tasty. You never know what can happen...
This article from US Soccer does a good job of really breaking the tournament down. Definitely worth a read. The variety and various levels of the teams truly make this special.

A couple of matches that caught my attention include:
I’ll be hooting and hollering with a group of yahoos from The 509 Syndicate at Interbay Stadium in a couple of weeks. This ended on a banger last year, I’ll tell ya. #UPTHEFALLS #GOSPO
And the match between Sarasota Paradise and FC Naples could be an interesting preview of a professional match in the next year or so. Sarasota is coming to USL League One.
And how much fun was El Farolito SC in 2024? They’re back. Don’t let the fast food name fool you. They have some past pedigree.
More to come in the next week or so. If you don’t like reading you can watch this and get an idea of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
Cheers!
